It is my firm belief that it is not until you reach the point where there is no other option or all the other options seem too painful that you are prepared to actually do the one thing that you know you should be doing and then keep at it.

Up until this point, life is too “comfortable”, what a terrible word. We live life doing only just enough to get by instead of taking the opportunities that come our way and giving them all we have.

Don’t fall into the trap of staying in the same place day in and day out. If you are at that point in your life where you realize that your time is now, then do something about it. Being “comfortable” will never allow you to become everything you can be. Allow yourself to be stretched, try something new, build a business and claim the lifestyle you deserve.

Who knows in just a few short years you could have a bigger story than we have. I hope so .

There are many creative ways to make money, lets face it, however the question you need to ask is “How many actually work”? Since starting our own work from home business in 1998 we have been exposed to many so called opportunities that I have given up counting. We have lost tens of thousands of dollars on programs and systems that have promised the world and delivered nothing except a smaller bank balance.

I am not sure if you are like me or not, but I have had enough of doing all these different thigns and getting no where. Spending money and tiime in the hope that it would work but nothing does.

This is the reason for this article. It is ny hope that you will take this information and put some action behind it. I am going to show you how you can think of your own creative ways to make money, rather then give you ways. You see, if I am the one giving you the ways to make money then you can almost guarantee that someone else is already doing it, more then likely better then you could. We are going to take you through how you can actually find out what you can do simply and easily to get started making money from home in a way that feels good to you.

We have helped tens of thousands of people around the world get started in business for themeselves with amazing results. It does not matter what country they are in, they can do what we do.

So let me give you some guidlines to work with. Remember these are just guidlines, they are meant to help you get started and head in the right direction.

I am going to give you my preference at the bottom as I believe it is the most powerful and gets very big, long term results.

How do you come up with creative ways to make money?
1. Sit back and ask yourself WHY are you wanting to make more money? I get you to think about this question first because when you actually know what your burning desire is, you will want to keep going even when times are difficult in your business. It does not matter how creative you are in your ways to make money, you will still go through times when you will want to quit and throw in the towel. Knowong why yo are doing something will make you think twice about stopping.

2. Look at what it is you are good at? Too many people go off and do something they have never done before or no skill in doing it. Here are some questions you can ask yourself to help you asertain what you are good at:
a. Do you like people?
b. Do you like using computers?
c. What did you like most about your last job or business?
d. What did like Least about your last job or business?
e. If there was one job you ever had that you actually felt like this was the best what was it and why did you feel that way?
f. What education have you had?

So now grab a sheet of paper and divide it into two columns. Label the first colume things I like the second colume things I dont like and start filling in the colums. Next put a tick next to the things in both colums that you actually do well whether you liike them or not.

Now ask yourself these questions.
Use this information now and start a new sheet of paper and start working on different ideas that you have around the things that you like and are good at. Get on google and start typing those things in as it may start your brain thinking about what else is out there around that topic or subject.
Like I said at the start there are plenty of creative ways for you to make money. You just need a place to start.

It is believed or should I say “presumed” that working from home online is easy money…Let me tell you that the better you become and the more time you spend on developing your skills the more money you will make, but it is FAR from being guaranteed…

1. Learn to copywrite: The best online marketers know how to copywrite. They attend seminars, purchase material and practice, practice practice.
2. Learn some basics on web development or align yourself with someone that can help you: You are going to want to be able to build capture pages and follow up pages.
3. Have a good auto responder (this is where the money is) the bigger your list the more opportunity you have to make money from that list. However you want to be able to market to this list easily and effectively. And auto responder will allow you to do this. We have a recommendation on our website of who we use and recommend.
4. Find out about “Keyword”: these are the magical words people type into google, yahoo and msn. They are the words you want to target in your marketing. Beware though. Even though you know a keyword gets searched regualry does not mean it will be profitable.
5. Get the right products and support. This will be critical to how much money you make and what results you get. Make sure the product has a guarantee and that is good value but even more than that. Make sure it works.

To find the right product and market for you there is one fundamental rule:

“Supply And Demand”

The more demand and the less the supply, the better opportunity you will have to make your business work.

But is this always true when it comes to online marketing?
No, I can categorically say that this is not true for all cases. There are many companies out there that get their marketing wrong, they don;’t employ the right people and the results show. You can have products that have no competition at all but not getting any where near the results they should because they have been positioned incorrectly and so no one actually finds them.

If you can find a company and a product like this you could be on a real winner, as competition is low but opportunity is high for you to be the one that stands out in the crowd.

Then you get the companies that have a lot of competition for their product but still no one in their industry at all is promoting well. Again this is another huge opportunity. Finding people that actually know what they are talking about is hard. Finding people that are doing it themselves from practical experience rather then theory is even harder again. So here you could find yourself marketing a product with a good name that people actually want to buy, however they can’t find it…You could be the one that helps them find it.

Then lastly you may find the company that has it all working well, they have their marketing right, their people are trained and they are getting results. This type of company is good to be involved in because you can learn from them. They help you become better at what it is you are wanting to do and market.

As you can see, depending what way you want to look at it, you can see opportunities. You can find the right Work from home online opportunity, However be careful where you end up.

Firstly let me say I do believe that there is just one. I believe that there are many different work from home business opportunities out there for you to choose from. It will be up to you to choose the one that is right for you. You will be the one that decides to make a go of it or to stay in the same situation you are in today.

The people I work with every day have made a decision that they are changing their future and getting out of the rat race. No matter what opportunity you choose you are going to find good and bad points. Make a decision now that no matter what happens you will choose to look for the good and see the glass as half full rather than half empty. This will help you to see through the clouds of confusion that will come and make decisions that will support your future instead of hampering it.

With over 10 years experience in this industry and after helping tens of thousands of people get started in business for themselves I still get amazed at the deception that is still happening.

It breaks my heart to see good people being taken for a ride as they get guided down the path of lies and false promises.

They are like an animal that has the headlights of a semi trailer baring down on them, the animal is bedazzled by the bright and unusual sight until…BANG…it is too late and the poor animal lies injured or worse on the side of the road.

Unfortunately this happens to too many people in this amazing industry. You drive along the road in any direction of this industry and you will see the carnage of miss informed and under trained people who have had their hearts broken because their dreams that they believe could one day become reality have all of a sudden been dashed…

What am I talking about? It is something that has held people back from enjoying the fullness of this industry. You will know it as soon as I say it. You just have to go on the internet and read the blogs, posts and new websites that are being promoted in the “Sponsored Links” area on google.

They promise you the world but deliver very little.

They say words like “easy money” and “easy business”… Today we are going to help you not get deceived by other people or by your own thoughts that may or may not be true. We want you to succeed in your work from home business

The deception is… …that you can start a work from home business and have to invest nothing…

This is a lie. Sure there may be varying degrees of the amount of money you have to invest, however, for you to be successful and earn a SERIOUS income, I am not talking about a few hundred dollars or even a couple of thousand dollars per month, I am talking about $5,000 per month or more, you will have to invest into your work from home business and yourself. The thing to remember, when you invest into your business is you are actually investing into yourself and your dreams.

Now I know some of you may be thinking “I don’t have a lot of money”, that’s OK I just want you to realise that nothing is free and for you to have a realistic view of business.

Let me clarify something… When I got started working from home, the thing that attracted me was that I could earn a high income with a very small outlay, did you notice that I said very small not FREE. When I hear people promoting FREE work from home businesses I ask myself “whats the catch…” Lets face it, we all know it’s true, you need to invest money into a business to make money from that business. Now that could be for products, (which it was for my case) or it could be for training, computers, resources etc etc etc…

For less then $1500 I was able to establish a business for my self. I could work from home with out the pressure of getting a huge loan from the bank and having to make sure there was enough money coming in each week to pay the staff BEFORE I paid myself, if you already own a business you know what I am talking about.

People often ask me, “when should I leave my job?”, my answer is always the same, unless you absolutely have to, DON’T…Why would you give up extra income, but if you do have to leave that job then don’t do it until you are earning at least DOUBLE what your full time job is paying you and you want to see that type of money coming in for at least 3 – 6 months continuously before making that decision.

Anyway the moral to this story is: Don’t fall for the trap and believe the deciept that is out there that you can get started in business and earn a serious income without investing SOMETHING…Be prepared to invest not only your time but also you finances

So from me, if you are serious about having a home based business then treat it serious and be prepared to invest in it, yourself and your future. Don’t play around with it, nothing great was ever achieved by people who treated things as a hobby, commitment is required.

No matter what industry you are in and what product you are selling, the internet has become the tool to master or at least include into your world domination plans.

All of which I did not have much of to waste.

Social Networking is fast becoming the way of smart marketers. It allows you as a business owner to build relationships quickly with people from all walks of life all over the world with no respect for borders. I love it.

My background before getting involved in Internet Marketing was in the corporate field. Everything was “Belly to Belly, Face to Face” relationships had to be built over coffee, functions and long meetings. It was expensive, time consuming and required you to be on your toes all the time. We started to implement the technology into what we were doing and found that our results started to come easier and quicker. So much so that we started to find it hard to keep up. We implemented a simple email campaign that built a relationship with the clients before we ever spoke. This was back in2001 and now we have done something similar for our clients that is seeing even bigger results again. It is allowing us to build and grow our multi million dollar business from home and make an ever increasing cash flow while having time for ourselves and freedom to do what we want when we want.

That little bit of technology has changed our business forever and it is called an autoresponder. Today I am going to take you through how you can use that same technology to build your business on the back of a Social Networking phenomenon.

So lets get started in understanding Social Networking, but first let me ask you some questions.

So how does all this fit into Social Media Marketing?
Well firstly you need to know and understand that the business you are in is constantly changing and the ways that are becoming open to you continue to grow. The internet has become the most cost effective was to market and any person wanting a business needs to start to build their understanding of technology and how it can help them become successful.
There is a lot of ways to advertise on the internet however they all cost money and sometimes they will cost you a fortune. You can into something like Google Adwords after reading someones article and think that you just have to put up an ad direct them to your site and you will make a fortune, this is far from the truth. If you dont get your keywords right and your ad and your landing page and your offer etc etc etc you could have wasted more than you had planned for. Social Networking is a little more gracious than that. It allows you to put time and effort in without the money. Social Networking Sites are free. They welcome you as an individual to come and build relationships with any person you want to at no charge.

You can’t do this with adwords or any other type of paid media. Does it take time? YES, you have to be patient and be prepared for the long road ahead. As you build the relationships and start to your message out there you will find “Evangelists” people who want others to know about what you are saying and they will go to work on your behalf. As your list of followers and friends grow so do the evangelists, the ones that just can’t stop talking about you and the value that you bring to them and their business. You become the person that is the answer, the guru….This is what you are working on. Becoming the guru.

How serious are you about getting long term profitable results for your business?
Social Networking is not for the short sighted person. It is only for the person who has a long time view. Remember that this type of marketing takes time. Be prepared to take time out each day to build the relationships and bring value to the communities you are involved in.
How serious you are about success in your business will show through by your commitment to the people you interact with. Be prepared to answer their questions and become the mentor they have been looking for. Obviously you better make sure you do know what you are talking about because if you don’t they will spread the word and your name will become mud.
The internet is harsh like this. Information can spread faster then the swine flue so you better be building your knowledge constantly. Subscribe to newsletters, blogs and feeds and start to claw through the information. Find what is relevant and pass that information on.
Remember though, time is the key when it comes to building with Social Media especially if you are just getting started. You hear about those people who just sign up to twitter and with in a month they have thousands of followers. Generally these people already had a large following on their email list or actually bought the following. For the rest of us, it takes time.

Are you good with people?
As with any business, your success will be reliant on how you are with people. Do you take the time to get to know them or do you hope that they are just interested in getting to know you. Let me help you here.
If you are only interested in people getting to know you your relationships will end very quickly because it is all about you. Having the ability for you to ask questions of your followers and subscribers will become imperative and allow you to specifically market to peoples interests and needs. Smart marketers are always more interested in their prospects than they are in their own thoughts. When you can get the information on what your clients and prospects are looking for you will be able to put together tools and resources that will help them in their marketing pursuits.

Questions really are the answers to your success with Social Networking. Ask the people you are speaking to what it is they are interested in and what it is they are looking for. Get them to trust you and what you are offering.
Become their friend…

Do you have patience?
Some of you reading this are not really going to be interested in this part. As I get older I get to see how important patience really is. The more patient you become the bigger the results. Not everything has to be done immediately. Some of my biggest successes have come after years of waiting. Building Dual Networking has taken 10 years and we are still building.
BE PATIENT…Social Networking takes time. It takes time to build your list of QUALITY FOLLOWERS not just junkies…Don’t rush it. Yes the more time you put into the process the quicker and bigger the results.

Do you have cash to spare?
If you don’t have too much spare cash than you need to be doing Social Networking because it is FREE. Yes you should be buying as many training resources as you can to learn what is needed but all in all your marketing is free. Don’t miss that opportunity.

As I watch the news or listen to the radio. I continually hear the dispair in the voices of those people worrying about what will the future hold for them.

As they see their retirement plan go down the toilet or their job hangs by a thread, many are wondering what they should be doing.

The Work from Home Industry has always had a saying and it goes something like this:

“in the good times we do really well, in the bad times business goes through the roof”

So what I am saying in this very short post is, start working your business hard, get out there and show people that this is a solution to their problems. Don’t sell the product, instead talk to them about their needs. Find out what is really concerning them and then help alleviate their concerns.
